How to buy Hollow Knight: Silksong while Steam is down

Having trouble buying Hollow Knight: Silksong on Steam? Here's a better way.

To the surprise of possibly no one, when Hollow Knight: Silksong released, it broke almost every storefront that can sell it, including Steam, somehow. However, there are a couple of workarounds while the Steam servers take it on the chin, and they got us into Silksong with almost no hassle.

The best way to buy Hollow Knight: Sillksong while Steam is down

Steam might be getting its teeth kicked in, but the best way to buy Hollow Knight: Silksong on PC at launch is via Humble Bundle. I was able to complete my transaction, receive my Steam redemption code, and put it in without issue. 

I've also heard anecdotally that players have had good luck with the Xbox Store on their PCs. If you don't care about having the game on Steam, that's another route you can take. 

The Steam servers will eventually settle as players trickle in, but if you head to Humble Bundle right now, you should be able to enter the world of Silksong and guide Hornet through her adventures.
