Mrs. Sarah Kahanov, a beloved mother and grandmother who was one of the first organizers of N’shei Chabad, passed away on Thursday night, 29 Kislev, 5786.

She was 92.
Sarah was born in Montreal to Reb Yaakov Chaim and Rikal Rosenblum.
Mrs. Kahanov was a devoted educator and the matriarch of her beautiful family. She was also appointed by the Rebbe as one of the first organizers of N’shei Chabad, a role through which she inspired and guided countless women with dedication and warmth.
She was predeceased by her husband, Reb Sholom Chaim Osher Kahanov.
She is survived by her children: Mrs. Chavie Bendet of St. Paul, Minnesota; Mrs. Chana Hayes of Ottawa, Canada; Rabbi Yosef Kahanov of Jacksonville, Florida; Mrs. Chaya Levin of Kfar Chabad, Israel; Mrs. Rivkie Block of San Antonio, Texas; Rabbi Dovid Kahanov of Crown Heights; and Rabbi Meir Kahanov of Crown Heights, together with a large family of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her brother Velvel Rosenblum.
She was predeceased by her brothers Rabbis Efrayim and Sholom Rosenblum and her sister Mrs. Chana Etka Feldman.
The Levaya will take place tomorrow, Friday passing by 770 at 12 noon and burial at Old Montefiore Cemetery at 1 pm.
