KV Bintulu students all set for WorldSkills Sarawak finals
by Yunus Yussop · Borneo Post OnlineBINTULU (Dec 9): Eight Kolej Vokasional (KV) Bintulu students qualified for WorldSkills Malaysia Sarawak (WSMS) 2025 final, scheduled to be held in Kuching this Dec 10-15.
The students earned their spot in the prestigious state-level skills competition after passing the qualifying round in October this year.
WSMS 2025 is organised by the Sarawak government through the Ministry of Education, Innovation and Talent Development, with support from the Department of Skills Development Sarawak Region under the federal Human Resources Ministry.
The Bintulu finalists will compete in four categories: mechanical engineering computer-aided design (CAD), beauty therapy, cooking, and electrical installation.
In mechanical engineering CAD, KV Bintulu will be represented by Muhammad Aiman Abdullah and Sylvester Sanggam Jibin, guided by trainers Kharunisa Sarkawi and Ahmad Fadzli Mansor.
The beauty therapy category will feature Sanchita Jering Anthony Basil, under the guidance of trainer Nur Amirah Diyana Yahya, with Nancy Jimin Mathew Kumbang as her designated model.
For the cooking category, Jessica Mong will coach participants Ananatasia Ipah Rou and Mia Juella Bayoh Jacques.
Meanwhile, the electrical installation category will see representation from Muhammad Nur Aiman Ihsan Salleh, Muhd Izzat Nakkhwat Mahdar and Donny Mathew, trained by Gabriel Angkui and An’ Umillah Yusuf.
