Samsung announces highly durable microSD cards with Sonic characters

Samsung announced a new series of microSD cards with SEGA's Sonic the Hedgehog franchise. The new series of microSD cards is called Sonic the Hedgehog PRO Plus, and they are highly durable memory cards that come in four variants.

The 128GB variant comes with a red icon of Knuckles, the 256GB one has yellow Tails, the 512GB flavor features a blue Sonic icon, and the 1TB variant has a black Shadow icon. The pricing is $23.99, $36.99, $68.99, and $125.99, respectively.

All four cards are A2 microSD with sequential read and write speeds of up to 180 MB/s and 130 MB/s, respectively.

Another interesting aspect of these cards is that they can withstand various conditions. They can be submerged in 3% salt water of up to 1 meter for up to 72 hours without suffering damage, and they can withstand high temperatures, magnetic fields and X-rays. They are even drop-resistant, surviving drops from over 4.8 meters.
