On Christmas Day, her family posted again on her account. “With profound sadness, the family of Mickey Lee announces her transition on Christmas in the early evening,” the post read. “Mickey captured the hearts of audiences nationwide through her appearance on Big Brother, where her authenticity, strength, and spirit left a lasting impression on fans and fellow cast members alike. She will be remembered for the joy she brought into the lives of so many and for the genuine connections she formed both on and off screen. The family extends their deepest gratitude to everyone who has offered prayers, love, and support during this incredibly difficult time. Your kindness has been felt and is sincerely appreciated.”

After requesting privacy, the family ended the statement with, “Mickey’s light, legacy, and impact will never be forgotten.”

The news comes three months after she was evicted on “Big Brother,” being cast out after 59 days.

Host Julie Chen shared a tribute via Instagram following the news. “Two months ago I interviewed Mickey Lee on God 101. That’s when she revealed to me that she was born with a hole in her heart, and as an adult she survived an ATV accident that should have killed her, but God kept her alive. Last night God brought her home,” Chen captioned a photo of the pair. “Rest In Peace dear Mickey. I will see you again on the other side in eternity. I pray the good Lord comforts and heals your family and loved ones as we grieve your passing. Amen.”

Many members of the CBS family commented on the news. “What an incredible loss,” former contestant Elena Davies commented. “Mickey will never ever be forgotten – prayers for her family and loved ones.” Rachel Reilly, who competed on her season, added, “Sorry for your loss and my prayers for your family RIP MICKEY you are missed – love to all of you. She will always be remembered and I am beyond grateful to have had the opportunity to get to know her for the short period I did- she shared so much light with us and was such an amazing soul.”

Tiffany Mitchell shared photos with Lee on X, writing, “Rest peacefully babygirl. Life is short, tomorrow is not promised, and every moment is a gift. May the family, friends and loved ones of Mickey be covered by God’s grace. Love people, be kind, appreciate the small things, and be grateful.”
