Rams vs. Raiders best bets, picks: Sean McVay cooks Las Vegas in Week 7 showdown
· New York PostPuka Nacua or No-cua, Sunday’s matchup with the Raiders should be fruitful for Los Angeles.
The Rams stay on the West Coast where they will face the Raiders as modest 4.5-point favorites, though many expect them to be down their top playmaker in Nacua.
Nacua apparently hurt his calf in practice during the week and did not practice Friday and will be a game-time decision Sunday, but typically your week ending with no practice is a bad omen.
Regardless of how you shape it, the Raiders appear as a fraudulent group considering their defensive metrics are horrible
Las Vegas comes in as the No. 28 defense in terms of DVOA, while the Rams have them beat everywhere else.
Typically, Nacua out would be a death sentence, but as I laid out in my player prop piece, the Raiders cannot stop the run anyway.
They’ve allowed at least 4.1 yards per carry in five straight games, and they are a disaster against zone blocking scheme’s which is most run by the Rams.
Frankly, I think this is the best buy low spot you will get on the Rams.
Los Angeles is sixth in yards per play this year (5.9 YPP) and its only allowing 4.8 YPP (fifth best).
It’s still a very good team, and the Raiders’ metrics do not stack up with what the Rams can do.
Don’t buy into the narrative that the Rams are done. We’ve seen Sean McVay make lemonade with lemons before, and this week is far from his most challenging coaching job.

But even with those top two receivers out, the Raiders have over performed, and I’m on the Rams to blow the Raiders out this weekend.
