Today, NFL RedZone, hosted by Scott Hanson, will be live for the first time this season and you’ll be able to catch all of the Week 1 action live beginning at 1 p.m. ET.

RedZone operates as its own channel that may be included with your cable subscription. However, cord cutters out there are probably wondering how they’ll get their RedZone fix as the season begins.
Here’s what you need to know to watch NFL RedZone for free in 2026.
What is NFL RedZone?
As we mentioned above, NFL RedZone is a channel that monitors all of the NFL games happening on Sunday afternoons to show every touchdown. It “whips around” between active games on FOX and CBS to show viewers the biggest moments from every game as they’re happening.
Scott Hanson returns as host for his 17th season as he takes viewers across the slate of games. The coverage is a direct simulcast of the CBS or Fox broadcast feed with their commentary. Coverage sometimes switches to split-screen, with two, three, or as many as ten boxes with different games going at once.
RedZone only broadcasts on Sundays between 1 p.m and 8 p.m. ET, through the early and late afternoon slate of games.
How to watch RedZone without cable
If you don’t have cable, the best way to tune in to today’s slate of NFL games is with a live TV streaming service.
