Forget the manager for a second. Where the Mets can look to shake up the roster with season on brink

Let’s take a minute or 20 and list some of the Mets’ biggest problems:

• Francisco Lindor and Jorge Polanco, who both have a history of hitting, are hurt.

• Jared Young, who was hitting, is hurt.

• Bo Bichette, who was brought in because he can hit, and Marcus Semien, who was brought in for his glove but who has been a great hitter in the past, have not hit.
