Julius Randle can help bring Nets back to respectability — just like he did with Knicks
· New York PostLAS VEGAS — Despite Brooklyn’s trade for Julius Randle being able to be completed Thursday, the Nets were still waiting for the deal to become official.
Once it does, once they finally have the 31-year-old Randle in house, what exactly will Brooklyn be getting?
First and foremost, a floor-raiser. After two years of brazen tanking and coming off a 20-62 record, Randle, 31, is a four-time All-Star who should help the Nets, if not become a playoff team, at least stop being a pitiful one.
Though Randle’s postseason struggles are well-documented, that’s a luxury issue for a rebuilding Nets team.
