Timberwolves coach Chris Finch has to be restrained by staff as he’s ejected from game in wild scene

· New York Post

Chris Finch didn’t waste any time making an impact on Friday.

Except he probably didn’t count on the ejected.

Less than six minutes into the Timberwolves’ 112-107 home win over the Thunder, the Minnesota coach was visibly frustrated at the defending NBA champions’ physicality.

He appeared to get particularly mad at officials when the Thunder were not called for fouls against both Anthony Edwards and Julius Randle on the same possession.

Taking exception to what he deemed as blown calls, Finch went after the officials and was tossed out of the game as his team trailed 15-11.

He had to be restrained by three members of his own staff before they led him off the floor and back to the locker room in Minnesota.

An alternate camera angle showed that Finch might’ve had some choice words for the referees in the game.

The Timberwolves improved to 17-10 after their win over the 25-3 Thunder, who still have the NBA’s best record.
