The final game in this year’s battle for the Commander-in-Chief’s Trophy is today, Dec. 12, when the Army Black Knights finally visit the Navy Midshipmen for the annual Army-Navy game.

Each year, the football teams of the United States Military Academy, United States Air Force Academy, and the US Naval Academy play each other in a three-game series; the winner is awarded the Commander-in-Chief’s Trophy. This year, the winner of today’s game will also win the trophy, as each team secured a win against Air Force earlier this season.

The first matchup of the series, Air Force vs. Navy, took place on Oct. 4; Navy won the close game, 34-31. Army beat Air Force, 20-17, on Nov. 1.
