It’s the most wonderful time of the year.

No, not that one.

It’s quarterback speculation season for Jets fans, a tradition around here that rivals decorating the Christmas tree or lighting the menorah. Yes, sometimes the Jets make it two years before having to find a new quarterback, but it feels like it is annual exercise.

Last year at this time, the writing was on the wall that Aaron Rodgers was going to be cut by the team and they would need a new answer. I pitched Justin Fields as the option in this space last year, and the Jets seemed to agree with me.
