This was about four hours after the Jets — buoyed by the masses of Jets fans who road-tripped and invaded Nissan Stadium in Nashville to party their way through the team’s 23-10 win over the Titans on Sunday — put their 1-0 start in the books

Back at MetLife Stadium, home for both the Giants and Jets, the Giants were opening their season with a win over the Cowboys in front of a raucous, standing-room-only crowd.

Longtime observers stated the atmosphere was as electric as it had been in years. Those driving to MetLife encountered gridlocked traffic some four and five hours before kickoff, which has not been the norm in recent years.
