Aaron Rodgers shredded ex-Packers teammates in no-hold-barred podcast appearance

Aaron Rodgers’ scorn isn’t just for ex-lovers.

The Steelers QB blasted a pair of ex-Packers teammates during his now-viral appearance on teammate Cam Heyward’s “Not Just Football” podcast this week.

“I had two teammates who spoke out about me years ago, out of everyone I ever played with who said they didn’t have a good experience with me,” Rodgers said in Part 2 of the nearly two-hour conversation. “One was bitter because he went to another team and never became a player again. The other just wasn’t a smart person. And that one hurt more, because I spent so much time with him. The night before games, I’d be in his room for an hour going over the plan, the checks, everything I was going to do. I went above and beyond for that guy.

“Both of them, no one cares about what they have to say, which is for most people at this point in my life. No one cares what they have to say until they use my name.”

While the veteran didn’t name the former teammates, it’s easy enough to piece together that he’s likely talking about Greg Jennings and Jermichael Finley.

Jennings, a wide receiver who left Green Bay for Minnesota in 2013, has long been a critic of Rodgers, accusing him of being “a guy who creates that spotlight for himself” and not holding himself accountable. Now a Fox Sports analyst, he gave Rodgers flak for seemingly calling out Pittsburgh receiver Roman Wilson publicly for a practice mistake.

“I’ve never liked this. He’s not doing this to DK [Metcalf]. He’s not doing this to Davante Adams. You don’t take something that we can resolve, and I get it, he talked glowingly about Roman… But Roman is listening to that, and immediately, when you hear ‘that’s the second time,’ it’s like a reprimand of like, we didn’t even need to know about the first time,” Jennings said on FS1’s “First Things First” last week. “This has been the issue that I’ve always had. When we look at Rodgers, it’s like, do you ever do anything wrong?”

Finley, who retired in 2015, famously critiqued Rodgers following his first game after winning MVP honors, a 38-2 drubbing to open the 2021 season.

“Each offseason you’ve got to work like it’s your last season,” the former tight end said on ESPN. “And, I just don’t see a work ethic in Aaron Rodgers that I have in previous years.”

Rodgers has continued to hold his grudges against them.

“If you’re only relevant by mentioning my name, you should check yourself,” Rodgers told Heyward.

The quarterback went on to rip exes Shailene Woodley and Danica Patrick, whom he accused of using his name for clout.

“No one cares what they have to say until they say my name,” he said. “I dated two women who nobody gives a f–k about unless they drop my name — and they like to say their version of the history of what actually happened.

“So I’m this monster of a partner and it’s just f–king horses–t. Number one: Why are you still talking about me? It’s been years.”
