A contestant eliminated from the new series of The Traitors, has spoken out about his experience after his surprising exit. And according to 65-year-old window cleaner Keith, host Claudia Winkleman has a soft spot for the faithfuls in the game.

"She really cares for the faithfuls," he disclosed following his departure from series three, which launched on New Year's Day.

In an interview with The Metro, Keith shared his perception that the Strictly Come Dancing star might favour one group over another. "She wants the faithfuls to get the traitors, even though she knows who they are," he suggested. "She's more on the faithful side."

Keith didn't hold back his admiration for Claudia, calling her "absolutely fantastic" and noting that meeting her was his highlight of participating in The Traitors. "Meeting Claudia was the highlight of the game for me," he elaborated, reports the Mirror.

His unexpected departure from the show had previously stunned viewers. Reflecting on his decision to join the contest, Keith revealed his inspiration came while watching a prior series.

"Wow, that's a million-dollar question," he began. "I watched the first and the second series and with the second series, I was sitting on the settee watching as Harry won and as soon as it finished, I said to my wife, I said, 'You know something? I could do that'. And that's the reason why I applied. I like to play games like this, it excites me.

"It reminds me of an old TV programme called Columbo, he was a lieutenant, and he always knew who the murderer was. He knew they did it, but he just needed to work it out from start to finish. So, and that's why I applied, I just thought I could I enjoy these sorts of games. Also, I'm one of nine in my family. I've got a very big family, lots of brothers and sisters who used to play tricks on each other, wind each other up, the works! So, with all that in mind, that's why I applied for The Traitors."

The first casualty of season three of The Traitors was Yin, who shared with the Mirror that the Traitors slipped up majorly during her assassination. Because of that early blunder, Yin believes the Traitors stand a high chance of being exposed much sooner.

Recounting how fellow contestant Jake had caught Traitor Linda glancing at host Claudia Winkleman whenever "traitors" was mentioned, Yin clarified: "They should have killed Jake. At the roundtable he kept going on about Linda, so Linda is in trouble."
