BBC viewers were moved to tears when blind comedian Chris McCausland triumphed in Strictly Come Dancing 2024 alongside his professional partner Dianne Buswell.
While it was bittersweet to bid farewell to the dance contest for another year, fans can look forward to a dose of Strictly enchantment with the Christmas special.
What time is the Strictly Come Dancing Christmas special on?
The Strictly Come Dancing Christmas special is scheduled to air on Christmas Day, December 25, at 3.55pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
This seasonal special is an hour and 15 minutes long and is followed by Doctor Who.

Vogue Williams
Stepping into the festive spotlight this Christmas is presenter, DJ, and podcaster Vogue Williams, partnered with professional dancer Carlos Gu.
Regularly featured on ITV's Lorraine, Vogue presents fashion and red carpet segments and is also known as the wife of former Made In Chelsea personality Spencer Matthews.
Vogue humorously remarked that Carlos might "have more of a chance of winning a Nobel prize" than making her a dance sensation, but a Christmas miracle may just be in store for them.
Josh Widdicombe
Best known for his roles on Channel 4's The Last Leg and BBC's comedy Josh, the comedian and actor is a familiar face on various TV quiz and panel shows, including Have I Got News For You, QI, and A League Of Their Own.
At 41, Josh who has shared that he's "utterly terrified", will be twirling on the dance floor with dancer Karen Hauer in the festive edition of Strictly Come Dancing.
Tayce
Tayce is set to make history on Strictly as the show's first-ever drag performer. Finishing as runner-up on RuPaul's Drag Race UK season two, Tayce has also made waves modelling for Jean Paul Gaultier, hosting on MTV, Sky, and BBC Radio One, and even dropped a rap track titled Swagzilla.
Pairing with partner Kai Widdrington, Tayce exclaimed: "I cannot wait to sleigh on the Strictly Ballroom floor. My partner and I are going to dance for our lives!"
Tamzin Outhwaite
Tamzin Outhwaite will likely be recognisable to viewers for her roles as Mel Owen in EastEnders or DCI Sasha Miller in New Tricks on the BBC.
Fresh from Channel 5's mystery drama The Wives, where she starred alongside Jo Joyner and Angela Griffin, the 54 year old actress is ready to embrace the glitter and glamour of Strictly, dancing alongside Nikita Kuzmin.
Billy Monger
Billy Monger, a racing dynamo teamed up with pro dancer Nadiya Bychkova, has impressively scored British Formula 3 podiums and clinched victory at the Pau Grand Prix in European Formula 3.
Tragically, after a high-speed crash in Formula 4, Billy Monger had to have both legs amputated but has since been an advocate for allowing disabled and non-disabled drivers to compete together.
He humorously admitted that performing "in front of Craig Revel Horwood fills me with fear I've never experienced before".
Harry Aikines-Aryeetey
Better known as Nitro, Harry Aikines-Aryeetey is a member of the BBC's revamped Gladiators and was also seen on Celebrity Masterchef recently.
The 36 year old sprinter, paired with Nancy Xu on the show, boasts an impressive athletic background as a Team GB, Commonwealth, and World Championships gold medallist, having made history by winning both the 100m and 200m at the World Youth Championships.
The celebrated Gladiator was named the 2005 BBC Young Sports Personality of the Year at just 17. Ahead of his Strictly appearance, Harry enthused: "I'm swapping my trainers for dancing shoes, and trust me, I'm bringing the power, the energy and the moves! This December I'm gonna light up that dance floor and crank the Christmas spirit all the way up. Let's do this!"
