Palworld announces Terraria crossover while teasing its next big update

Pocketpair has revealed that a Palworld and Terraria crossover is coming in 2025, with imminent news on the survival game's next update.

If you thought Palworld‘s mash-up of Pokemon, guns, and survival game mechanics couldn’t get any weirder, I’ve got news for you. Developer Pocketpair has just announced that a Palworld and Terraria crossover is on the way, and teased the collaboration with a short reveal and piece of art. That’s not all for Palworld’s future, as Pocketpair also reveals that we’ll be hearing about the next big update very soon.

Despite an ongoing legal dispute with Nintendo, Palworld is showing no signs of slowing down. Not only is there a new Palworld mobile game in development, but the colossal survival game has revealed big plans for the end of this year and 2025. So if you’ve been waiting to dive back into the game, now’s the perfect time.

“2024 isn’t finished yet for Palworld and we have some exciting news about the next update coming very soon… (and by very soon I mean this week!),” Palworld developer Pocketpair writes. “But first, we want to tell you about something happening in 2025! Palworld x Terraria.”

You might think a Palworld and Terraria crossover sounds bizarre, but I can see what Pocketpair is going for. Both are huge survival and crafting games focused on player expression, and even though their art styles couldn’t be more different, bringing them together could have truly incredible results.

With one of the biggest Steam launches of all time, Palworld has shown no signs of slowing down since release. The Palworld Sakurajima update introduced a new island, raid, and even more Pals earlier this year. While a more recent Palworld Halloween patch added some free skins for your friendly creatures.

The Palworld and Terraria crossover is planned for 2025, while Pocketpair is revealing more about the game’s next update sometime before Sunday December 1.
