by Daragh Nolan · Leinster LeaderKildare will face The Dubs in Parnell Park on Sunday, April 26 at 3pm in Round 2 of the Leinster Senior Hurling Championship.
KILDARE: Paddy McKenna; Liam O'Reilly, Rian Boran, Dan O'Meara; Paul Dolan, Cian Boran, Simon Leacy; Conan Boran, Richy Hogan; David Qualter, Daire Guerin, Cathal McCabe; Muiris Curtin, Gerry Keegan, Jack Sheridan.
The Lilies arrive off the back of defeat to Wexford and a strong showing but with no points to show for their endeavours. Their opening round home clash with The Yellowbellies represented, on paper, one of the best chances for Brian Dowling's side to put points on the board in a top-level provincial hurling environment.
Their disappointment was aided by concern that Offaly managed to share the points with Round 2 opponents Dublin in a cracking game to get themselves off the mark.

Speaking at the lunch of the Leinster SHC, star forward Muiris Curtin said, “All we can do is prepare as best we can and we're definitely looking forward to playing these teams,” Curtin said. “There are teams that you kind of grow up dreaming of playing against and now we have the opportunity to play against them. You kind of have to enjoy the build-up and that's something that Brian has said to us, that you have to look forward to this championship because it can go by in a flash.
“Who knows, we might never get the opportunity again so we're really taking it by the scruff of the neck now and just putting everything we can into it. Once we've left no stone unturned and just given it our all, that's all we can really ask for and we'll see where it takes us.”
Curtin concluded, “All we want to do is represent Kildare the best we can…the management says to us that there’s been Kildare hurlers gone before us and there will be Kildare hurlers after us, so we just have to make sure we leave the jersey in a better place than we got it. I suppose that's just something we're constantly aware of as well.”
