Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing the French international defender Castello Lukeba.

The 23-year-old is highly rated across Europe, and he has impressed with his performances for RB Leipzig. According to a report from Sport Witness, the three Premier League clubs have been keeping tabs on his development, and they could look to make a move in the summer.

Castello Lukeba is being scouted extensively

They have sent scouts to watch the player in action and are impressed by the positive reports. The defender is open to move the Premier League, but he is looking to choose the right project for himself. He wants to join a club where he can compete at a high level and play regularly.

Arsenal and Manchester United are already well stocked in the defensive unit, and the 23-year-old might not be a guaranteed starter for them. However, Liverpool need more depth in central defence. Ibrahima Konaté will be a free agent in the summer, and they need someone to replace him. They did sign Jeremy Jacquet in January, but he is currently on the sidelines with an injury. Joe Gomez is expected to move on in the summer as well. Giovanni Leoni is sidelined with a serious knee injury, and he will need time to get back to his best once again.

Liverpool move ideal for Lukeba

The 23-year-old is likely to get regular opportunities at Liverpool, and it remains to be seen whether the Premier League champions can get the deal done. This has been a disappointing season for them, and they will look to bounce back strongly and fight for major trophies once again. They need to tighten up at the back, and signing one of the best young defenders in Europe right now would be a wise decision.
