Manchester United and Liverpool are interested in signing the Real Madrid midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni during the summer transfer window.

According to reports from Spain, there is strong interest from several Premier League clubs in the French International, but Manchester United and Liverpool appear to be pushing hard for him.

Tchouameni has also been linked with Chelsea.

Man United and Liverpool want Aurelien Tchouameni

The report claims that the two clubs are plotting substantial offers for the midfielder, and they could offer him a contract significantly higher than his current Real Madrid salary of €240k-a-week.

Manchester United need a quality defensive midfielder, especially with Casemiro leaving the club in the summer. There is no doubt that the French International will help them improve.

Similarly, Liverpool need an anchor in the middle of the park as well. They have used Ryan Gravenberch in that role, but the Netherlands International is better suited to central midfield. Having a natural defensive midfielder in the team will help Liverpool.

Tchouameni move seems unlikely

It will be interesting to see if either of the two Premier League clubs can convince the Amit thriller. He is happy at Real Madrid, and he wants to continue pushing for major trophies with them. He has no desire to force an exit right now.

On the other hand, Real Madrid have no plans of selling the player either. They are preparing a contract renewal for him, and it remains to be seen how the situation develops.

It seems unlikely that they will be able to sign the Real Madrid player, even though they are interested in breaking the Bank for him. It will be difficult for them to convince the Spanish club and the player.

Tchouameni is well settled in La Liga and will not want to disrupt continuity.
