New York Jets, running back Breece Hall agree to 3-year extension
by Alex Butler · UPIMay 8 (UPI) -- The New York Jets and running back Breece Hall agreed to a three-year contract extension, a league source told UPI on Friday.
The pact is worth up to $45.7 million. Hall received the non-exclusive franchise tag from the Jets in March. He was to play under a $14.2 million tender in 2026.
"Cried for the first time since I tore my ACL," Hall wrote Friday on X. "This day really hit different for me, man."
The four-year veteran totaled 1,415 yards from scrimmage and five scores over 16 starts last season. He logged a career-high 1,065 rushing yards during the campaign. Hall, a second-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, totaled 5,040 yards from scrimmage and 27 scores through the first 56 appearances of his NFL career.
New York started mandatory minicamp Friday and will begin organized team activities May 27. The Jets will hold mandatory minicamp from June 16 to 18.
