JUST IN: FIFA’s registration ban axe strikes again in the Betway Premiership

The domestic transfer windows shuts down on Tuesday and this will be straight after the last block of fixtures before the FIFA dates.

For the world governing body, issues have resurfaced again in the direction of South Africa just over a fortnight after the now defunct JDR Stars were implicated.
Earlier this month, the former Motsepe Foundation Championship club were brought back into the sin bin.
They now have a three-window registration ban attached to their name.
This is despite selling their status to Leicesterford City prior to the beginning of last season and their boss Nditsheni Nemasisi moving to Sasolburg United in the Free State ABC Motsepe League.
Having been sold as a going concern this could then spell trouble for Leicesterford in a case whose details are yet to be established though there are pending issues with Benin goalkeeper Marcel Dandjinou.
Back in the mud is Chippa United who now have a three-window registration ban.
This is according to FIFA’s latest registration listings released on Friday evening.
The case in question is yet to be established.
However, FIFA resorts to these sanctions when there has been non-compliance.
Just last month, Chippa had a ban lifted relating to Burkina Faso midfielder Roland Sanou after they settled payment.
Sanou took the club to FIFA after a contractual breach by the Gqeberha-based outfit and won his case.
He briefly played for the side three years ago before the termination of his contract under circumstances that then forced him to take the FIFA legal route.

This ultimately led to a ban being imposed on Chippa after they didn’t make payments within the stipulated time as per the world governing body’s order.
FIFA resorts to transfer sanctions when there is non-compliance with its orders.
