Ouaddou opens up on possible more Pirates signings

Orlando Pirates coach Abdeslam Ouaddou has opened up on the possibility of further additions before the transfer window closes, with the Buccaneers continuing to assess their squad.

The Sea Robbers have undergone significant changes in the off-season, with several players leaving including key stars Relebohile Mofokeng and Patrick Maswanganyi.

Moreover, their squad has also been left with limited depth in certain areas, particularly at right-back.

Pirates have also brought in several new faces as they look to defend their Betway Premiership title and compete on multiple fronts this season.

However, with the new campaign already underway, Ouaddou has now provided insight into what could happen before the transfer window shuts, while also revealing the approach the club is taking behind the scenes.

"We just spoke about this subject, when you are ambitious and you want to play in many competitions, of course, it's possible," Ouaddou told journalists.

"We hope to have some new players, especially in that position [right-back], we see. But I'm not in charge of these areas.

"We have a scouting department. They know exactly what the team needs and I am sure they will look for something, I hope.

Ouaddou prepares for busy schedule

"Because if we play the Champions League, we play the MTN, we play the Nedbank Cup, the Carling Cup, the Betway Premiership, it's a lot of games.

"But like I told you, if it's not the case, it's my job to find other solutions. I'm not here to complain. I am to try to find solutions with the players that I have."
