JUST IN: Pirates issue positive Nduli update
by Siya Ndlela · KickOffOrlando Pirates have provided a positive injury update regarding the recovery of midfielder Sihle Nduli, following initial fears that he could face another prolonged spell on the sidelines.
The 30-year-old anchor sustained a significant ankle injury on 12 August after being on the receiving end of a heavy challenge from AmaZulu FC striker Thandolwenkosi Ngwenya during a 1-1 Betway Premiership draw at Kings Park Stadium.
The setback was a devastating blow for Nduli, who had only just returned to competitive action in that very match after missing the entire second round of the previous campaign due to a long-term ligament injury.

Nduli originally arrived at Mayfair in June 2025 as a free agent from Stellenbosch FC and immediately established himself as a key figure in the Buccaneers' starting eleven, cementing a massive role in Abdeslam Ouaddou’s engine room before his initial injury struggles.
According to the latest update published on the official Orlando Pirates Website on 28 September 2026, the midfield enforcer has completed his latest rehabilitation stage and has begun running on the grass.
Senior physiotherapist Kutlwano Molefe confirmed that Nduli will undergo field-based training for approximately two weeks before he is expected to reintegrate into full-team training.
