5. Roger Ibanez - Brazilian - (€18m/R338m)
Ibanez is one of the top defenders in the Saudi Pro League and at Al Ahli, a key figure in the side's back-to-back AFC Champions League titles. The Brazilian centre-back came to prominence after winning the inaugural UEFA Europa League title with Roma in the 2021/22 season under Jose Mourinho. The 27-year-old featured for his nation in the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
4. Galeno - Brazilian - (€20m/R375m)
Galeno was one of the most sought after wingers after he caught form for former club Porto following the 2023/24 season. In January of 2025, Al Ahli Saudi broke a club record fee, after purchasing him for a reported €50 million (R938m).
The 28-year-old has also been key in The Royal's continental success.
3. Ivan Toney - England - (€20m/R20m)
Toney has not stopped scoring since he was signed from Brentford in August 2024, after he scored 23 league goals in his first season, only second behind Cristiano Ronaldo in the scoring charts (exclusive goals in other tournaments) and netted 32 goals in as many matches last campaign.
The English striker boasts 82 goals since his arrival from the EPL.
2. Eduard Spertsyan - Armenia - (€25m/R469m)
Spertsyan, came through the ranks of Russian football, graduating from Krasnodar academy into the first team in 2018 and his best season was precisive what attracted Al Ahly Saudi, 2025/26, where he helped the club win their first ever Russian Premier League title, after ending the season as the division's top goal-scorer and had the most assists.
1. Francisco Trincao - Portugal - €40m/R751m)
Trincao famously joined Barcelona in 2020 after coming through the ranks in Portugal, with spells at Porto and Braga. The 26-year-old found limited opportunities at The Blaugrana and was sent out on loan to Wolverhampton Wanderers, where he also could not make an impact.
The Portuguese midfielder revived his career at Sporting before he attracted the Saudi giants.
