For many, this was a rather unusual occurrence, as Mama Joy has been a regular feature at international tournaments involving South African teams, especially Bafana Bafana.

With some noise surrounding the situation and debates over her status as one of South Africa’s leading supporters, Mama Joy has now emerged to clarify matters, revealing that she is on her way to Morocco.

The well-known superfan appeared in good spirits in a video she posted from the airport on Tuesday.

The former Orlando Pirates and Royal AM supporter explained that she had fulfilled her family duties and that it was now time to follow Hugo Broos’ side in Morocco, with matches against Egypt and Zimbabwe still to be played.

At club level, it remains unclear which team she currently supports in Mzansi following Royal AM’s disappearance.
