The only poker room in a downtown Las Vegas casino has a new location.

Golden Nugget Las Vegas has opened a newly relocated and redesigned poker room, moving the venue to the Rush Tower lobby, according to a news release. The poker room at Golden Nugget officially opened Wednesday with a grand opening celebration planned for July 28.

The new room features nine tables with seating for up to 63 players and includes built-in USB-A and USB-C charging ports at every seat. The room offers food and beverage service that includes cocktail service and mobile food carts.

The new location also boasts easier access to the property’s self-parking garage, ride-share pickup area and taxi stand.

The Golden Nugget poker room features a $100,000 Bad Beat Jackpot, which is awarded when aces full of kings (or better) is beaten. The jackpot pays the losing player, winning player, other players at the table and additional players in the room.

“We are delighted to unveil Golden Nugget’s latest property enhancement to the poker community and our neighbors alike,” Cindy O’Keefe, senior vice president and assistant general manager, said in a statement. “Our new poker room blends comfort and convenience with the spirit of competition. We look forward to hosting many players and exciting events in downtown’s only poker room.”

Golden Nugget plans to host an invitation-only grand opening celebration on July 28 featuring a ribbon-cutting ceremony, refreshments, a poker tournament and a drawing for a seat in the 2027 Grand Poker Series.
