Nevada Preps Girls Athlete of the Week: Foothill’s Lexington Trummell

It’s time to vote for the Nevada Preps girls prep athlete of the week.

This week’s poll features four players who posted standout performances during the week of Sept. 7-12.

Voting will close at noon on Thursday. Results will be reported on Friday.

Here are this week’s nominees:

■ Julia Anfinson, Faith Lutheran soccer

The senior scored three goals Wednesday to lead the Crusaders to an 8-1 rout over Shadow Ridge. The victory kept Faith Lutheran undefeated at 6-0-1.

■ Kimber Morrow, Shadow Ridge girls volleyball

The senior logged 14 kills, seven digs and three service aces Tuesday in the Mustangs’ four-set victory over Coronado. The outside hitter leads the team in kills (170) and digs (132).

■ Lexington Trummell, Foothill volleyball

The senior had 21 digs, 15 kills and four aces to help the Falcons beat Green Valley in five sets Tuesday. The outside hitter leads Foothill with 135 digs and 26 service aces.

■ Aleah Warner, Bishop Gorman girls soccer

The sophomore finished with three goals Wednesday as the Gaels rolled past Foothill 8-0. The forward has 15 goals for Gorman, which is 10-0 and tied for first in the 5A Southern League at 3-0.
