What is the Nations League?
The UEFA Nations League is a competition between European nations. There are three ‘leagues’ (League A, B, C and D), each of which contains four groups (which each have four teams). England are Group 3 in League A.
England will play each member of their group home and away to determine a ranking. The winners and runners-up from the group advance to knockouts: a quarter-final stage, then there’s a semi-final, final and third-place play-off. The reigning Nations League champions from 2025 are Portugal.
