We don’t want to leave the World Cup- Messi

The Captain of the Argentina football team and renowned footballer, Lionel Messi, has said that his team and he are not ready to leave the World Cup.

Speaking to Olé after the match, Lionel Messi decided to speak about the match and the world cup in the large extent.

Messi noted that they lost hope when Argentina trailed 2-0, however, their hope was restored after Romero scored a goal in the 79th minute.

“It’s a relief, a catharsis. We can’t end the FIFA World Cup today. We don’t want to leave. After Romero scored, hope was ignited in each of us,” he said.

Messi went on to acknowledge his team members, stating that “This team has always shown me love, and it is a source of pride to fight alongside them”.
