Jake Paul responds to Daniel Dubois' offer after Mike Tyson win as new fight teased

by · Derbyshire Live

Jake Paul has teased the possibility of stepping into the ring with Daniel Dubois following his recent victory over Mike Tyson. The social media influencer turned boxer, who has faced criticism for choosing opponents who are either beyond their prime or lack significant boxing experience, could silence doubters by taking on a serious contender like Dubois.

This speculation comes after Dubois' stunning win to secure the IBF world heavyweight title two months ago, where he knocked out Anthony Joshua. Post-Tyson win, Paul has been inundated with fight offers, including a notable challenge from Artur Beterbiev via social media earlier this week.

Even retired boxing figures Carl Froch and Tony Bellew have expressed interest in fighting Paul, though he has yet to confirm his next opponent.

Jake Paul claims he 'runs boxing' after being called out by undisputed champion, reports the Mirror US.

However, it appears that Paul might give fans the eagerly anticipated bout they've been hoping for against Dubois, who recently showcased his IBF heavyweight championship. On platform X, Paul posted a message from Dubois which stated: "Hi Jake. Good business on the weekend but how would you feel fighting for the legitimate heavyweight championship of the world? This is Daniel Dubois calling you out. Let's get it on."

Paul hit back at Dubois on social media with a picture of a tape measure, humorously warning, "Get in line."

He mocked Dubois's extensive boxing history with the remark, "Man been boxing for 12 years, has over 100 fights between amateur and pro and fought on my undercard... hahaha."

However, Paul appeared open to the idea of fighting him, saying, "But f--- it... I'm going to have Nakisa talk to Frankie Warren and get you in line for the throne. Unlike Artur, at least you have a few thousand fans."

The prospect of Paul facing off against Dubois, who many believe could deliver Paul's first boxing defeat by knockout, is uncertain. Last year, Paul, known for his YouTube fame, declared his goal of becoming a world boxing champion, telling Sky Sports, "I'm going to become a world champion and these fights are all just stepping stones to get there."

He continued to discuss his progress in the sport: "I'm slowly improving. I've sparred against world champions and done phenomenal against them, so who knows what can happen in two to three years from now when I go into my athletic prime? I'm starting to really, really get this sport and all aspects of it."

Paul concluded with a bold prediction about his future in boxing, stating, "It's really actually scary what could possibly happen. I think not only will I become a world champion, I think I will be a dominant world champion and knock someone out for the belt."
