Seahawks’ Rick Dennison to join Klint Kubiak’s Raiders coaching staff, report says
by Bob Condotta · The Seattle TimesThe Seahawks are losing another offensive assistant coach to the Las Vegas Raiders, according to a report — run game coordinator and senior offensive advisor Rick Dennison.
The news was reported by CBSSports.com. The report did not state what Dennison’s title will be with the Raiders.
Dennison will be the second Seattle offensive assistant to join the staff of Klint Kubiak, the Seahawks’ offensive coordinator in 2025 who was hired as Las Vegas’ coach, replacing Pete Carroll.
The Raiders earlier announced they had hired Seahawks quarterback coach Andrew Janocko as their offensive coordinator.
As of Tuesday afternoon, those were the only departures from the Seahawks coaching staff in the wake of their second Super Bowl victory.
The loss of Dennison was not a surprise. He has long ties to the Kubiak family, having played for and coached with Kubiak’s father, Gary, with the Denver Broncos. Dennison coached with Klint Kubiak with the Minnesota Vikings and New Orleans Saints before coming with him in 2025 to Seattle.
The Seahawks on Sunday hired former 49ers tight ends coach and run game coordinator Brian Fleury to replace Kubiak.
Coach Mike Macdonald has hoped to keep as much of the offensive staff together despite the loss of Kubiak. As of Tuesday afternoon other key assistants such as offensive line coach John Benton, run game specialist and assistant offensive line coach Justin Outten and passing game coordinator Jake Peetz appeared to be staying put.
The Raiders put in a request to interview Outten for a similar position, but Seattle declined to approve it, which is allowed for positions that are considered lateral moves.
