Football association suspends ex-pro after punch leaves player with 7 broken teeth
During the Tweede Divisie amateur football match on Saturday between football clubs IJsselmeervogels and GVVV, after former professional Jhon van Beukering punched Quiermo Dumay, a player for the host club IJsselmeervogels, in the face in the locker-room area. Van Beukering has now been provisionally suspended for 60 days by the football association KNVB.Seven of Quiermo Dumay’s teeth were broken. The Tweede Divisie match was abandoned with the score 0-2.Van Beukering was assistant coach at GVVV, where his brother Dennis was the head coach. Both have since been dismissed.
