The BCCI is reportedly seeking an extension for the announcement of India's Champions Trophy squad, with Mohammed Shami set for a potential return to the national team.

ICC had set a five-week deadline for the provisional squad announcement for the Champions Trophy, however, it seems India are set to ask for an extension in the aftermath of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. However, India's T20 squad is likely to be announced in a couple of days for England series.
