I'm A Celebrity viewers hail Coleen Rooney a 'warrior' during trial
by HANNAH MCDONALD · Mail OnlineI'm a Celebrity viewers hailed Coleen Rooney a 'warrior' as she managed to keep her cool while covered in cockroaches and rats during Sunday's Bushtucker trial.
The WAG, 38, was the latest celeb to face a brutal challenge as she was swarmed by cockroaches, rats, giant mealworms and crickets.
She impressed viewers as she remained calm throughout the grim trial - as they slammed Dean McCullough for 'screaming' as he was doused with slimy fish guts.
Fans of the show compared Coleen's reaction to being covered in creepy critters to Dean's gunge challenge as they criticised him for having an extreme reaction when she had it 'far worse' than him.
Taking to X, formerly Twitter, fans wrote: 'Coleen is a warrior..... COME ON COLEEN !!!'
'Screaming at slime while shes got bugs and rats all over her . Cant stand him he better get voted out first,';
'It's just gunge you plonker...Colleen's got it a lot worse than you...'; 'Dean is screaming at slime meanwhile Colleen is there with bugs and rats crawling all over her. Bruh,';
'Colleen trapped in a box stuck with rats and other creatures trying to get the stars Dean - sprayed by gunged - screaming & playing up for the cameras,';
'Not a single complaint out of Colleen. And I wouldn’t do that no matter how much you paid me!!! She’s amazing! Doing it all! And Dean making it all about him again !!!';
'Just knew Coleen would smash the trials,'; 'Coleen only needs to look at them Allen keys and knows what star to get.. ikea flat pack queen I'm telling ya.'
Learning she had been voted to take on the next Bushtucker trial, named Absolute Carnage, alongside Dean, Coleen wasted no time racking her brain about what the trial might entail.
With nothing getting past the eagle-eyed star, she correctly predicted: 'I think it's gonna be a car.'
Ahead of the Bushtucker trial, Coleen said: 'I'm excited for my boys back home to see me do something. Hopefully I'm gonna do well, I'm gonna try my best.'
As Dean and Coleen headed down to the trial clearing, Dean told Ant and Dec: 'We need to stop meeting like this!'
Ant and Dec then explained what 'Absolute Carnage' would entail. One of them would be locked inside the back of the ute with all of the stars.
The stars were locked into place with different fastenings and they required different tools to undo each one of them.
The other celebrity's job was to search for the different tools around the garage and pass them over to the back of the ute once found.
Dean decided to take the role of searching for the tools, which meant Coleen was positioned in the back of the ute.
As the klaxon sounded, Coleen was joined by cockroaches, crickets, giant mealworms and rats, whilst Dean was left to search high and low in the surrounding garage area, coming face to face again with his arch nemesis - fish guts.
Working as a team with 12 minutes to unlock all the stars, Coleen and Dean successfully won nine stars for camp.
A very impressed Ant and Dec told Coleen: 'You were very calm, very quiet, you just got on with it.'
Coleen replied: 'Yeah that is my way of coping, silence, the silent treatment.'
Meanwhile Dean admitted he felt like he'd conquered his fear of fish guts whilst being covered in them.
