Coleen Rooney's pals brand husband Wayne an 'idiot'
by GERAINT LLEWELLYN, SHOWBUSINESS REPORTER · Mail OnlineColeen Rooney's pals have reportedly branded husband Wayne an 'idiot' after he was seen partying with two mystery women at a pre-BRITs bash over the weekend.
The WAG, 39, who shares four sons with the former footballer, stepped out without her wedding ring while running errands in Cheshire on Monday.
Wayne, 40, was in Manchester ahead of the music event and could reportedly be seen looking 'wore for wear' as he struggled to hold up his trousers, before 'joking' and drinking with the women into the early hours.
It comes amid a stressful time for Coleen who is preparing to launch her first range with Primark and is said to be hosting a bash in London's swanky Mayfair to celebrate the new collection on Thursday evening.
One pal said: 'Coleen has worked so hard on this Primark range, it's massive for her. So for Wayne to act like such an idiot just days before her big moment is irritating.
'Coleen will always stick by Wayne. But for her mates, it's upsetting to see Wayne acting this way because it takes the spotlight from her.
Before telling The Sun: 'It's being gossiped about by everyone.'
Daily Mail have contacted Coleen's representatives for comment.
In snaps obtained by The Sun, he could be seen drinking with the women, before leaving with one. The pair then got into separate cars around 3.25am.
After his wild weekend Coleen emerged in Cheshire, dressed casually in a white padded coat and dark brown activewear as she looked understandably downcast.
On the night one onlooker asked 'What would his wife Coleen think?' while another claimed Wayne 'didn't seem to be in a great place'.
Wayne and Coleen have been married since 2008 and together are parents to sons Kai, 16, Klay, 12, Kit 10, and eight-year-old Cass.
One told the publication: 'People who noticed Wayne were saying: 'What would Coleen think?' She was nowhere to be seen.
'He seemed like he was having a laugh and joking around with the women.'
Before adding: 'He later left alone. He stood outside where there were quite a few people gathered and got into a car. Around eight minutes later, a taxi came and picked the woman up.'
The Daily Mail have contacted Wayne Rooney's representatives for comment.
Last year Wayne insisted he would be dead if it wasn't for his wife who he said 'saved' him from alcoholism as he curbed his drinking.
Coleen has had to endure several high-profile alleged cheating scandals - with the footballer making national headlines when he was found to have visited three prostitutes as a teenager.
In 2004 after Wayne, then aged 18, moved to Manchester United, it was discovered that the teenager allegedly paid £140 for sex with prostitute Charlotte Glover, 21.
It was also claimed that at a brothel in Liverpool he slept with Gina McCarrick, then 37, and grandmother Patricia Tierney, then 48.
Devastated Coleen stood by her man but didn't comment publicly on the claims.
Speaking in a 2023 Amazon Prime documentary on her husband's life and football career, Coleen also candidly discussed her husband's cheating.
She credited her parents Colette and Tony for their support, as she admits part of the reason she chose to stay in her marriage during Wayne's various cheating and drinking scandals was for their children.
'When you're making those decisions you've got to focus on what you want and not other people because you have so many people saying different things to you. 'Oh why is she getting back with him?'
'Obviously I listen to the people that matter to me, my mum and dad always give me a positive outlook on things. There's nothing that we can't deal with and that's my way in a situation - let's sit down and see what we can do and can we make it work? And we have. We're not the lovey-dovey type anyway, we like to have a laugh and we work well together.'
