First Update for Gothic 1 Remake Released – Full Patch Notes
by John Papadopoulos · DSOGamingAlkimia Interactive has released the first Title Update for Gothic 1 Remake and shared its full patch notes. Moreover, THQ Nordic revealed that the game has sold 500K units in its first week. So, let’s now see what this first patch brings to the table.
Patch 1.0.1 finally adds a lockpick difficulty indicator. This will help a lot of players who found it really difficult to lockpick chests. Furthermore, this patch comes with a number of technical fixes and tweaks.
For instance, the patch fixes some crashes that could occur when using DLSS and FSR. It also improves NPC navigation, as well as wall climbing. The devs have also made some memory improvements. As such, the game should now be more stable on your PC system.
Update 1.0.1 also packs audio improvements for footsteps and attacks. It fixes an exploit with its economy, and it fixes some forge station interactions. Plus, it fixes some magnet and targeting issues during combat.
Naturally, this first patch also comes with some quest bug fixes and balance tweaks. You can find all of them at the end of the article.
Before closing, I should note that our PC Performance Analysis for this game will go live this weekend. I know it’s a bit late, but I had my hands full with all the “E3” events. So, as they say, better late than never.
Like always, Steam will download this update the next time you launch its client. From what I saw, this patch is around 4GB in size. Below, you can also find its full patch notes.
