KRAFTON has removed Denuvo from Hi-Fi RUSH
by John Papadopoulos · DSOGamingNow here is something that came out of nowhere. KRAFTON has removed the Denuvo anti-tamper tech from Hi-Fi RUSH. The game will now only use three DRM’s. These are Steam’s own DRM, VMProtect, and TG DRM.
What’s funny here is KRAFTON’s statement. I don’t know why it states that the Denuvo support will end on January 6th, 2026. This implies that the devs will remove Denuvo on January 6th. However, that’s not the case. The devs have already removed Denuvo from Hi-Fi RUSH. To be more accurate, they have replaced Denuvo with the TG DRM. And yes, someone has already cracked it.
Like always, we won’t provide any download link to the crack. You should also not share any download link in the comment section. If you do, your message will be deleted. So, consider this your warning. Then again, a simple Google search will be more than enough to find the crack for Hi-Fi: RUSH.
As we’ve reported, other companies have also removed Denuvo from several of their titles. In March 2023, KRAFTON removed Denuvo from The Callisto Protocol. NEOWIZ has also removed it from its Souls-like game, Lies of P. In October 2024, Gearbox removed it from Homeworld 3, too.
Then we have Capcom. Recently, Capcom removed Denuvo from Onimusha 2: Samurai’s Destiny. That’s not the only game from Capcom that no longer has it. Monster Hunter Rise, Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin, and Resident Evil Village are Denuvo-free as we speak. Similarly, Resident Evil 2 Remake and Resident Evil 3 Remake no longer use it. In July 2025, the Japanese team also removed it from Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess.
Square Enix is another publisher that has removed Denuvo from a lot of its titles. For instance, the publisher has removed it from games like The Diofield Chronicle, VALKYRIE ELYSIUM, TRIANGLE STRATEGY, LIVE A LIVE, and Forspoken. Moreover, both Octopath Traveler and its sequel no longer use it. And, in May 2024, SE removed it from Star Ocean The Second Story R. Finally, in March 2025, the publisher removed it from Final Fantasy 16.
And that’s not all. Bethesda’s Wolfenstein Youngblood, Ghostwire: Tokyo, and Doom Eternal no longer have it. Warner Bros has also removed it from Mortal Kombat 11. Then we have Bandai Namco, which has removed it from Tekken 7 and NARUTO TO BORUTO: SHINOBI STRIKER.
All in all, it’s pretty good to see more and more devs removing Denuvo from their older titles. As I’ve said, there is no point at all for a game to have Denuvo after the first six months of its release. And I get it. Some publishers want to protect their games for their future DLCs. But once that DLC phase is over, there is nothing to gain from continuing to use Denuvo.
Stay tuned for more!
