Crysis Remastered Improvement Project 1.0.2 Released

by · DSOGaming

Team MTL5 has released Version 1.0.2 for the Crysis Remastered Improvement Project. This latest version brings a number of audio, gameplay, and AI tweaks and changes to this beloved FPS. So, let’s take a closer look at it.

For those who did not know, Crysis Remastered Improvement Project is a mod that aims to keep fixing bugs and improving the remaster now that official support has ended. It adds many bug fixes and visual improvements. It also improves the sound, restores content that was cut from the remaster, and much more.

Version 1.0.2 is mainly focused on fixing bugs and cleaning up the mod’s audio system. The update also addresses several issues reported by the community.

The audio changes are one of the biggest parts of this update. Ambient sounds now work better when moving between missions and between indoor and outdoor areas. The update also fixes cases where sounds could become too quiet or disappear after loading a save. It improves sound checks around windows and doors, too. This helps make sound levels more stable as you move around the game world.

The update also changes how some sounds work when driving vehicles. Vehicle sounds are now less muffled, which brings them closer to the original game. Some broken ambient sound effects have also been disabled until they can be fixed properly. The update also fixes several sound bugs in the Village and Rescue missions.

There are also some AI and gameplay fixes. NPC reinforcements in Mine should no longer spawn in front of the player. Anti-air vehicles can now take a small amount of damage from grenades. The AI has also been tweaked to reduce cases where enemies become distracted while blind firing.

Several level bugs have also been fixed. These include a soft-lock in Mine, a noisy desk in the school, and an issue where Nomad could fail to comment on the hologram in Core. Some restored dialogue has also been fixed.

The update makes a few visual changes as well. Rain is now easier to see in Ascension. Some duplicate objects have been removed from Village and Rescue. Incorrect flares have also been fixed in Rescue and Harbor.

Finally, the update improves the installer. Most restored cut content can now be turned on or off. The FOV controls have also been moved from Page Up and Page Down to F7 and F8. This should make the game easier to play for left-handed users.
