Gothic 1 Remake Gets Official PC Requirements
by John Papadopoulos · DSOGamingTHQ Nordic has revealed the official PC system requirements for Gothic 1 Remake. So, let’s see what PC system you’ll need in order to run it.
In Gothic 1 Remake, you will explore a handcrafted open world that reacts to your choices. Whether you’re a long-time Gothic fan or this is your first time entering the Colony, the game promises a true RPG experience with complete freedom to explore.
The remake aims to stay faithful to the original game. It rebuilds everything from the ground up while keeping the classic feeling of open exploration and satisfying character progression. The dark, gritty world of the Colony will be richly detailed and immersive, with NPCs and wildlife following realistic daily routines that continue even when the player isn’t around.
Gothic 1 Remake will have a branching Story. Players can choose which of the three factions to align with, influencing how their abilities and playstyle develop and how this true adventure unfolds.
According to the Steam page, the remake will have a modernized combat system that updates the core mechanics of the original. This system aims to offer a more fluid and dynamic experience while staying true to its deliberate and tactical roots.
PC gamers will at least need an Intel Core i7-7700K or an AMD Ryzen 5 1600X with 16GB of RAM and an AMD RX 6700 XT or an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070. The game will also require 60GB of free disk space.
The devs recommend using an AMD Ryzen 5 2600X or Intel Core i7-7700K with 32GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti or an AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT.
Now, while THQ Nordic has not listed the graphics settings, resolution, or framerate these PC specs target, you can download a demo to test it. In theory, this should give you an idea of how the game will run on your system.
THQ Nordic will release Gothic 1 Remake on June 5th.
