Death Stranding 2 Update 1.8 Released – Full Patch Notes

Patch 1.8 fixes a bug where VSync would not restore correctly after enabling or disabling frame generation. It also resolves an issue where VSync could remain enabled when turning on DLSS Frame Generation. Furthermore, it adds support for displaying PlayStation friends and PlayStation user avatars when signed in to your PlayStation account.
Update 1.8 will also update Intel XeSS Frame Generation to the latest version, including bug fixes and support for Multi Frame Generation and XeLL on supported Intel GPUs. Additionally, it resolves an issue where players could sometimes be unable to place or remove map markers when playing below 30 FPS.
And that’s not all. Patch 1.8 improves distant terrain texture quality when using high or very high texture settings. It also fixes a rare progression bug that could prevent the next Main Order from advancing after saving and loading in Magellan’s private room. Oh, and it adds support for C/GL/GR button icons for Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller.
