PS4-Exclusive The Order: 1886 Gets an Unofficial PC Port

by · DSOGaming

The Order: 1886 is easily one of the best-looking games on PlayStation 4. And, to the surprise of no one, someone is working on an unofficial PC port for it. This PC port is in a very early development phase, but you can already download and play it.

Going into more detail, the CPU side is native. The game’s original executable runs directly on the PC’s CPU, and a runtime written for this port replaces the PS4 system libraries. In other words, there is no CPU emulator. The graphics, on the other hand, are translated. They run on the shadPS4 video core, which converts the PS4 GPU commands and shaders to Vulkan.

Basically, this is similar to what we’ve seen in pretty much all the PS4 games that have been ported to the PC so far.

The good news is that this PC port of The Order: 1886 supports the mouse and keyboard. PC gamers can use the keyboard to move the character and the mouse to aim. Since this is a third-person game, this control scheme is ideal. At least for someone like me.

Now, the bad news is that this PC port is in a very rough state. Although you can download and play it, it still needs a lot of work. It’s also being updated on a daily basis. So, things will get better in a couple of weeks. But right now, you may encounter a number of graphical glitches and performance issues. So, make sure to temper your expectations.

The PC port supports frame rates above 30FPS. For those who did not know, the PS4 version was locked at 30FPS. The Prologue and Chapter 1 also appear to be fully playable. However, I don’t know whether you can play and finish it in its current build.

Those interested can download it from here. Again, this is a beta release (I would even call it an alpha release). So, while it’s cool, I’d suggest waiting for a couple of weeks until it’s at a better state.

You can find a video of the PC port at the end of the article. Do note that it does not show the latest build. The flickering and black dot issues you will see have been fixed. At the 6:36 mark, the game also shows a big drop in performance. Both the CPU and GPU are underused. I’m not sure if the latest build has fixed this issue. Still, the video shows how rough this PC port is at the moment.

In case you are into projects like these, you can also download the unofficial PC ports of Mario Kart Wii, Super Mario 64, Mario Kart 64, Super Mario Sunshine, Super Mario Galaxy, and Super Mario Strikers.

But what about non-Super Mario games? Well, right now, you can download the unofficial PC ports of Crash Team Racing, Forza Horizon 2, and Duke Nukem: Zero Hour. You can also play The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker, Majora’s Mask, Perfect Dark, Call of Duty 3, and Jak & Daxter.

These past few weeks, I also shared the unofficial PC versions of The Simpsons Game, Peter Jackson’s King Kong, Gears of War 3, and Bloodborne. Let’s also not forget the PC ports of Virtua Fighter Arcade, Splinter Cell: Double Agent, The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD, and Metroid Prime.

For our SNES fans, we also have a PC port of Star Fox. We also got a PC port of F-Zero. Brian Tate has also brought the three classic SNES Donkey Kong Country games to PC. Plus, we got a PC port of Mother 2/EarthBound.

For our PS4 fans, we have unofficial PC ports of Bloodborne, Shadow of the Colossus, Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection, Driveclub, God of War 3 Remastered, Gran Turismo Sport, Killzone Shadowfall, and The Last Guardian.

In September 2026, we shared a lot of unofficial PC ports. So, you can download and enjoy on PC Zelda 2: The Adventure of Link,  WET, The Darkness, Spider-Man: Edge of Time, Mercenaries, GTA: Liberty City Stories, Fable 2, Burnout Revenge, and Lost Odyssey.

And that’s not all of them. We also have the unofficial PC ports of Mario Party 4, Sonic Unleashed, GoldenEye 007, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, and Silent Hill. In July 2026, we shared the unofficial PC ports of Gears of War 2 and Syphon Filter. Then, in August 2026, we shared the PC ports of Diddy Kong Racing and Ace Combat 6. Let’s also not forget the unofficial PC versions of Wave Race 64, Blue Dragon, and Pikmin.  Finally, you can download the PC ports of Ninja Gaiden 2, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and Tekken 3.

Have fun!
