First Subnautica 2 Mods – Third-Person Camera, 16-Player Co-Op, FOV Slider, Killable Creatures, and More

by · DSOGaming

Subnautica 2 appears to be a big hit on PC. The game launched on Steam Early Access on May 14th, and it sold over 2 million copies within its first 12 hours. And, as you may have guessed, its first mods have hit the Internet. Therefore, I’ve decided to collect those I found interesting and share them in one article. So, let’s dive in.

Let’s start with a mod that will please a lot of the fans of the original game. Titled “Killable Creatures”, this mod lets you kill all of the game’s creatures. This is something that you could do in the first game. But, for whatever reason, the devs removed this feature. Thankfully, we have this mod that brings it back. You can go ahead and download it from here.

Then we have a third-person camera mod. As its title implies, it allows you to play the game from a third-person camera perspective. This is a pretty simple mod. Still, fans of third-person games will find it useful. You can download it from this link.

Another amazing mod is the Too Many Divers – Beyond 4 Player Co-op Unlocker. This mod removes the 4-player multiplayer cap. As such, it allows up to 16 friends to play in a single co-op session. Not only that, but its creator claims that it has cross-platform support. This is a mod you should not sleep on. So, go ahead and download it from this link.

And that’s not all. There is a FOV Slider Mod that you can download. As its title implies, this mod adds a FOV slider to the game. I don’t know why the devs did not include one. Still, those who cannot stand the game’s default FOV settings can use this mod to increase it. You can download it from here.

Another cool mod is the Persistent Loot Mod. This mod lets you keep all your items when you die. Therefore, you won’t have to run back to pick them up when you die. As the modder specifically said, only the death‑drop mechanic is modified. Health, hunger, thirst, oxygen, vehicle behaviour, and all other survival systems remain completely intact. You can download this mod from here.

Finally, we have mods that add more quick slots, expand the inventory, and make various improvements to the vehicles. You can download these mods from here, here, and here. Owners of an HDR PC monitor or TV can also use this mod to enable HDR.

Have fun!
