2-Minute Trailer for the Canceled Mass Effect Universe Leaked

Yesterday, EA announced its plans to close BioWare and to cancel the next Mass Effect game, which appears to be called Mass Effect Universe. And now, a 2-minute trailer has been leaked online.

From what I could see, this looks legit. It doesn’t look like an AI video. Still, given what we’ve seen in 2026, I suggest taking it with a grain of salt. It does look real.

Since this is a cinematic trailer, it does not represent the quality of the game that was in development. BioWare stated that Mass Effect Universe was still in an early development stage. So, this is most likely an in-engine concept trailer, and nothing more.

I could not find a way to embed the video. Right now, you can visit Reddit and watch it. I also don’t know how long it will be available. EA will most likely take it down soon. So, be sure to watch it – and save it – while it’s still available.

Enjoy and stay tuned for more!
