The Witcher 3 HD Reworked NextGen Releases on November 23rd

by · DSOGaming

Modder ‘Halk Hogan’ has announced that the highly anticipated The Witcher 3 HD Reworked Project NextGen Edition will be available for download on November 23rd. To celebrate this announcement, the modder also shared a new video that you can find below.

In this video, Halk Hogan gives us a preview of the new textures for Novigrad. As with all of his videos, it has comparison scenes between the vanilla and the modded versions. So, go ahead and take a look at it.

The Witcher 3 HD Reworked Project improves the game with top-notch textures that look great and run smoothly, without needing more VRAM. If you’re already playing on Max settings, you’ll be able to use this mod. The pack will include high-quality, accurate normal maps, many of which are made from detailed 3D models. The project also brings better LODs for objects.

The modder claims that HD Reworked NextGen Edition will have high-quality textures using the new mapping technique implemented in the Next-Gen version of the game. Thanks to this, many textures in HDRP NextGen Edition will be much more realistic.

In short, this is a must-have mod for everyone who currently plays TW3. As you will see, the mod can greatly enhance the game’s graphics. So yeah, I can’t wait to get my hands on it.

Speaking of The Witcher 3 Next-Gen, you may also want to take a look at these other mods for it. For instance, you can download a really cool first-person mod. Furthermore, the Characters Reworked Project improves the quality of over 100 characters. Let’s also not forget this mod that lets you kill most in-game NPCs. Then we have this mod that overhauls the game’s combat with better animations, better targeting and new dodging mechanics. In July 2024, we also shared mods that restored the boat races and added 15 new quests. Plus, a modder has restored the reputation system that CDPR cut from the game.

In December 2023, we shared this mod that restores content that was cut from all previous The Witcher games. Then, earlier this month, we shared a new fan expansion for it. In February 2024, we shared a mod that attempted to remove the fake “hero” light from the game’s cut-scenes. There is also this mod that allows you to explore a part of the world from the first The Witcher game in TW3. Oh, and don’t forget this mod that allows you to ride a Griffin.

We also have some mods for those playing with Ray Tracing. The RTX Mirrors Mod adds proper reflections to the game’s mirrors. Then we have this mod that improves the fire effects via Ray Tracing Global Illumination. And finally, this mod fixes the Ray Tracing bleach issues.

Enjoy and stay tuned for more!
