Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Just Got a First-Person Mod on PC
by John Papadopoulos · DSOGamingNow here is something cool. Modder ‘Pcniado’ has just released a first-person mod for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. This mod will let you play the entire game via a first-person camera. So, if you’ve always wanted to experience the game in FP, you can download and try the mod.
By default, this first-person mod can feel disorienting and may even make some players feel sick. However, it includes several options that can make the experience more comfortable. For example, you can stop the camera from following Spider-Man’s head movements. You can also disable roll and pitch effects, and adjust a rotation-smoothing slider to make camera movement feel smoother.
At the end of the article, you can find two videos. Sadly, both of them have most of the head rotation settings enabled. As such, swinging and fighting enemies feel kind of bad. It’s a cool experiment for those who have mastered the game. But for the average Joe, this is a mod that will make the game a lot harder.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 came out on PC in January 2025, and it was an OK PC port. While it had its issues, it was not a disaster. On high-end PC systems, the game could run great, even at native resolutions. However, there were numerous issues with low-end GPUs.
Anyway, those interested can download the mod from this link. Before getting it, I suggest watching the videos. As I said, though, this first-person mode may cause some to throw up. So, consider this your warning.
Speaking of first-person mods, I also suggest taking a look at the following ones for some other games. Both Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Breakpoint and Ghost Recon Wildlands now have cool body-cam first-person mods. Then we have these FPS mods for Mass Effect: Legendary Edition. The classic Max Payne 2 also got a first-person mod. And yes, you can also play Hogwarts Legacy, Elden Ring, Dark Souls 3, Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered, and The Witcher 3 in first-person. For those wondering, there are similar mods for the Resident Evil remakes. This means that you can play Resident Evil 2 Remake, Resident Evil 3 Remake, and Resident Evil 4 Remake in first-person. And if you’re playing The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom on PC, you can also use this first-person mod.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!

Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
