Need for Speed: Underground 2 Unreal Engine 5 Fan Remake Gets New Gameplay Clip
by John Papadopoulos · DSOGaming2Unreal5Underground has released a new gameplay clip for his upcoming fan remake of Need for Speed: Underground 2 in Unreal Engine 5. So, in case you’ve been wondering, no. This fan remake is not dead, and we might one day get our hands on it.
In this gameplay clip, we get our first glimpse at an Outrun Race. According to 2Unreal5Underground, AI still needs some polish as it is still doing weird things. Traffic cars can spawn around the player as well as open-world opponents that you can race in regular free run and during career mode.
It’s also worth noting that the cars have an entirely new suspension. This will give the player a much larger travel range, better bump stop, and much, much better control.
All in all, this is a fan remake that appears to be in a pretty solid state. Compared to those we’ve shared, this one attempts to be a proper remake, and not a remake concept. This should please those who were annoyed by our previous stories. After all, they will be able to play it.
There is currently no ETA for when this fan remake will come out. As soon as its first public version goes live, I’ll be sure to share a download link for it.
Speaking of Unreal Engine 5, I recommend trying out these other free fan-made demos. You can grab a Superman UE5 Demo, a Halo 3: ODST Remake, and a Spider-Man UE5 Demo. There’s also a fan-made version of STALKER in Unreal Engine 5. If you love old-school FPS games, you should check out this remake of the classic FPS Blood in Epic’s engine. For Mario fans, we have this cool Super Mario Galaxy Tech Demo in Unreal Engine 5.
And that’s not all. There is a cool remake of Halo: Combat Evolved’s Halo level in UE5 that you can download. Or how about this free Attack on Titan game? Then we have the fan remakes for Dino Crisis 2, Super Mario Galaxy, and MediEvil 2. Plus, there is an amazing fan remake of Sonic Adventure 2, called Sonic Adventure 2 Redux. Zelda fans can get this fan remake of Ocarina of Time. Oh, and let’s not forget the amazing ports of Skyrim and Oblivion.
Owners of high-end GPUs can also try these three tech demos. The first one features a Witcher-like environment. The second shows off a Rome Italian Town. The third is the Venice Tech Demo we shared a few days ago. We also have a demo of King’s Field 2 in UE5, as well as a remake of Konami’s canceled PT. Finally, we have The Lord of the Rings: Conquest Reimagined in Unreal Engine 5, a remake of Flappy Bird, a demo for Need for Speed: Underground 2, and a Diablo 2 Remake Demo. They all look awesome, so be sure to give them a try.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!
