You Can Now Play Forza Horizon 6 in VR With Full 6DOF Support

by · DSOGaming

Modder ‘NALULUNA’ has released a very cool mod for Forza Horizon 6 that allows you to play in VR mode. This is a mod that will please all Forza fans who currently own a VR headset. So, if you are one of them, you should definitely try this mod.

Going into more details, this VR Mod makes the Forza Horizon 6 driver view VR compatible, and it comes with full 6DOF support. This means there is support for head/neck rotation, tilt, and movement.

The Mod lets you specify resolutions not present on the connected monitor. It also lets you specify an FOV beyond the in-game limit. Additionally, it can synchronize the game’s frame rate with the HMD’s. Furthermore, when entering a non-driver-view state, such as the menu screen, it disables 3D, cancels HMD rotation, and adjusts scale.

Forza Horizon 6 was never meant to be played in VR. So, expect some bugs and glitches here and there. In other words, this isn’t a perfect VR mode. Still, it’s better than nothing.

You can go ahead and download the mod from this link.

To install it, you’ll have to extract the zip file anywhere you like. Launch `fh6vr.exe` and press the “Launch” button at the bottom of the screen to start Forza Horizon 6. Once the game starts and you are in a car, press **Tab** a few times to switch to the cockpit view. This view is what gets displayed in VR. All the other camera modes, like the one behind the car, are not supported.

In case you are into VR gaming, I also suggest taking a look at these other VR mods. Half-Life 2 already has a VR Mod, as do Half-Life 2: Episode One and Episode Two. In September 2023, we also shared VR Mods for Portal 2 and Far Cry. Then we have these VR Mods for Resident Evil 4 Remake and Trespasser. Additionally, you can play Hogwarts Legacy in VR with this mod.

But wait, there are more. In November 2024, we shared a VR Mod for Silent Hill 2 Remake. Plus, Manor LordsWorld of Warcraft and Hellblade 2 also have their own cool VR mods. Oh, and let’s not forget the VR mod for Halo and Crysis.

Have fun!
