The University of Lagos (UNILAG) says 11 academic programmes have secured full accreditation from the National Universities Commission and other relevant professional bodies.

The university disclosed the approvals and details in a statement that was published on its official website on Monday.

It said the achievement represented a 100 percent success rate in the 2025 accreditation exercise.

According to the statement, the result reinforces UNILAG’s commitment to academic excellence, quality education, research, and professional development.

It said the accreditation assured students, parents, employers, and other stakeholders of the quality and global relevance of the university’s academic programmes.

The accredited programmes are Accounting, Taxation, Medical Laboratory Science, Radiography, German, and Linguistics.

Others are Home Economics, Library and Information Science, Special Needs Education, Petroleum and Gas Engineering, and Economics and Development Studies.

The statement said the accreditation would remain valid for five years, with all programmes retaining their status until 2030.

It described accreditation as a key measure of curriculum quality, teaching capacity, learning resources, governance, and institutional effectiveness.

The university attributed the achievement to the dedication of its academic and administrative staff in sustaining a culture of excellence.

It added that the outcome marked another milestone in its pursuit of academic distinction and innovation.

The statement reaffirmed UNILAG’s commitment to producing globally competitive graduates through quality teaching, research and community engagement.
