Prominent Christian leaders from the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) and the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), alongside gospel ministers, are set to converge on Ibadan for a five-day spiritual crusade beginning on Wednesday.

The programme, organised by For His Glory Evangelistic Ministries in partnership with churches across Ibadanland, is aimed at promoting spiritual renewal through evangelism, worship and prayer.

The President of the ministry, Rob Welch, announced the programme during a press briefing at Men of Issachar Vision, Olororo, Ojoo, Ibadan, on Tuesday.

Speaking on the theme, “Jesus Ibadan City Mega Crusade,” Welch said prominent Christian leaders expected at the event included the PFN President, Archbishop Wale Oke; the PFN National Vice-President, South-West, Bishop Taiwo Adelakun; the Oyo State CAN Chairman, Rev. Elisha Ogundiya; and the state PFN Chairman, Rev. Samson Ajetomobi.

Welch said the gathering was designed to provide an opportunity for participants to strengthen their faith and experience spiritual transformation.

“Our desire is to see lives transformed through the message of Jesus Christ.

“This gathering is not simply about bringing people together for a religious programme; it is about creating an atmosphere where people can encounter God, renew their faith and experience spiritual transformation.

“The crusade seeks to draw participants from across the country to the Oyo State capital,” he said.

He added that the ministry remained committed to taking the gospel beyond church walls and reaching people from different backgrounds with the message of hope and salvation.

Also speaking, the Chairman of the Central Working Committee of the crusade, Pastor Obafemi Olofin, said arrangements were being made to ensure the smooth coordination of the five-day programme.

“We are working towards ensuring that everything required for a successful crusade is put in place.

“Our expectation is that people from different parts of Ibadan, Oyo State and beyond will participate in the programme and that the gathering will achieve its spiritual objectives,” he said.

The Chairman of the Advisory Committee of the crusade, Apostle Sunday Popoola, was also present at the press briefing.

The programme will hold at the Obafemi Awolowo Stadium, Ibadan, and feature musical performances by gospel artistes, including Lilian Nneji, Esther Igbekele, Pelumi Deborah, Bois Olorun and The Dentons.
